McGovern Award

Each year, the Department of Poltiical Science bestows the William Montgomery McGovern Award to two political science seniors based on their cumulative GPA, political science GPA, citizenship, leadership, and recommendations from faculty. These are both cash awards; the amount varies by year.

 

Recipients are selected by the political science faculty, and awards are announced at the annual reception for graduating seniors, their parents, and friends immediately following graduation in June.

Bonbright Award

Three cash awards are given annually to three seniors who have the best record in Division III classes during their junior year.

James Award

Three cash awards are given annually to the students who had the best record in Division II classes during their junior year.
