His primary interest is quantitative research methods. One of his ongoing empirical projects concerns voting behavior and how to model vote choice. He is also developing a project that seeks to derive the micro-level foundations of aggregate voting models. In addition, he studies financial markets during periods of political uncertainty, and he uses price changes to make inferences about political behavior.
